Beacon Police Investigate Home Invasion, Shooting

BEACON, N. Y. -- Beacon police are investigating an apparent home invasion Wednesday that left a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his arm, the second recent shooting in Beacon, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

Police said the victim was shot in the right arm at about 12:48 p.m. in an apartment at Tompkins Terrace. Unlike the previous shooting incident, the victim's injuries do not appear life-threatening, The Poughkeepsie Journal reports.

In the case of the Aug. 22 shooting incident, Beacon police found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his chest near South Davies Terrace. The victim died at the hospital, The Poughkeepsie Journal says.
